The Otero County Fair Board won't be removing its "no guns" signs anytime soon. Instead, the board opted Thursday night, on the advice of an attorney, to redefine its no-guns policy to include wording that makes an exception only for law enforcement and security personnel hired by the fair board.

Demetrio J. Holguin, 19, of the 20 block of Hawkhill, High Rolls, was arrested on a Municipal Court warrant for alleged contempt of court. Holguin was released to Municipal Court for an immediate court appearance.
